One of the most important quality criteria for a laboratory, is the internal quality control programme that it performs. Although the health authorities do not compel the clinical laboratories to perform a certain quality control programme in our country, internal quality control is mandatory for laboratory practice. In our laboratory, quality control programme is performed according to the scientific standards. Our laboratry has developed its own internal quality control programme considering widely accepted applications, and the quality control programme was accepted by DACH during the ISO 15189 accreditation process. Furthermore, we keep our standards at the highest level by the quality control programmes that we have membership. Those external quality control programmes are organized by DGKL ( Deutsche Vereinte Gesellschaft für Klinische Chemie und Laboratoriumsmedizin e.V.), Instand ( Institut für Standardisierung und Dokumentation im medizinischen Laboratorium e.V.), EMQN (European Molecular Genetics Quality Network) vand UMGEKA (National Molecular Genetics Quality Network). .
