Acıbadem Labmed Laboratory was primarily organized to maintain the high-standard laboratory services of Acıbadem Health Group, which keeps growing and widening its service network, from a focal point. Besides the supply of a standard, fast and reliable laboratory service to the group, it was planned to serve as a reference laboratory for all Turkey, suitable with the vision of Acıbadem Health Group.

Our laboratory has started activity on one floor of Acıbadem Health Group Soyak Policlinic in spring 2002. Contributing to the improvement of group laboratory services by collecting the laboratory services of different departments of Acıbadem Health Group in a unique point (center), Genetical Diagnosis Center has started its work in January,2003. Our Genetical Diagnosis Center has already started to give reference services to our country with its constructed background and test panel which it has widened in a short period of time.

One of the leader applications of Acıbadem Health Group and our laboratories is Cord Blood Bank which started to accept samples by June,2003. Acıbadem Cord Blood Bank is the first private cord blood bank which gives the service of desirous cord blood storage and carries the technology of similar applications of world to our country.

According to the improvement programme suggested by the vision of our laboratory, at the beginning of 2004, a cooperation agreement was signed between Laboratoriumsmedizin Dortmund – Dr. Eberhard & Partner GmbH, which has started its activity in 1977 in Dortmund-Germany and is one of the important reference laboratories of Germany with its test profile, and us. Our new laboratory was constructed as a result of this cooperation, which is active since July 2004. It serves a wide range of tests and it widens this test panel progressively.

Together with all departments, our laboratory has documented the quality of its service and has become the first laboratory of Turkey with ISO-15189 accreditation since October 2005.

Presenting the laboratory services with high-standard and international quality criteria to scientific platform which is needed by the scientific research in Turkey, is a part of our mission and we have the background which may make us study all the test as validated when needed.

Acıbadem Labmed Clinical Laboratory will continue serving service for health sector through the vision and service principles of Acıbadem Health Group, with its pioneer applications.
