The official opening of Acıbadem Hospital Bursa as the eleventh chain of Acıbadem Healthcare Group was made by Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan on February 19, 2006 Sunday.
Acıbadem healthcare group who has been making significiant contributions to the Turkish healthcare sector since 1991, is constituting a real model for others through its leading applications modern services.

The robot physician, which is used in the most respected hospitals in the world, will be in service for the first time in Turkey at the Acıbadem Hospital Bursa. Through the "robot physcian" a different kind of service is being introduced for the best use of the resources of qualified physicians. The ''robot physcian,'' which is actually a mobile communication platform for patient doctor relations, provides an opportunity for doctors inoutside turkey to make consultations with their patients from a long distance. Physicians working in the clinic can, if required, be at a patient's side in intensive care, the emergency roomeven on the floor through the use of the ''robot physician.'' with the assistance of the ''robot physician'' technology, the consultation of a patient staying at Acıbadem Hospital Bursa will be carried out by a doctor in Istanbul. By using the ''robot physician's" control panel, the physician can view the patient, patient's radiological image other medical records on the screen, answer patients' questions and, after dicussing with other physicians who are physically present with the patient, give a medical opinion.
